Cuttack: Malisahi in Ranihat area (ward no. 31) in Cuttack city was declared as a containment zone on Saturday after the detection of COVID-19 positive cases.
“To facilitate detailed measures for contact tracing, it is necessary to make the area as a containment zone and restrict people from entering the area,” a Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) notification said.
The areas declared as containment zone are:-
South: House of Hemanta Rout
North: House of Tutu Mishra
West: Champadei Temple
East: House of Hemu pal
All vehicular movement will be stopped in the area. Inhabitants have been directed to strictly remain at home. All shopping establishments will be closed immediately and supply of medical requirements will be ensured by various teams formed by the CMC, the notification said, adding that all government and private institutions located within the boundaries of the containment zone will be closed forthwith.
