Rourkela: A huge cache of Maoist articles was recovered by security forces from Champajharan RF area under Chandiposh police limits in Sundargarh district on Thursday.
After getting reliable information about the movement of 20-25 Maoist cadres in the locality, a joint team of District Voluntary Force (DVF), Special Operation Group (SOG) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted a raid at the spot.
During the course of operation, a huge cache of articles belonging to ultras including four small cane bombs, 21 bundles of codex wires two bundles of electric loose wire, one steel water container, a whistle code, a pair of Maoist uniform, one tarpaulin and other items were recovered.
Police suspect that the Maoists group was Sambalpur-Deogarh-Sundargarh (SDS) division comprising Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh cadres.
