Bhubaneswar: 5T Secretary VK Pandian visited Ekamra Kshetra in the city early on Monday to review the ongoing development works in the area.
The secretary directed the officials concerned to expedite the rehabilitation of displaced shopkeepers. He also stressed on the construction of an alternate road at the earliest and cleaning of debris in the area.
Pandian was accompanied by Works Secretary Krishan Kumar, BMC Commissioner Prem Chand Chaudhary and senior officers during the review visit.
Notably, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had visited Ekamra Kshetra last week and expressed satisfaction over the progress of works. He also directed the officials to complete the works before Shiv Ratri.
