Balangir: In a shocking incident, a man attacked his wife, a teacher, inside Durgapalli High School in Puintala block of Odisha’s Balangir district on Wednesday.
According to sources, the incident took place around 11 am when Pradip Panda suddenly barged into the high school premises and attacked his wife Sanjurani Deb with a knife. He was, however, overpowered by other teachers.
On being informed, police rushed to the high school and arrested Panda, who is also a teacher.
The injured female teacher, who sustained a deep wound on her neck, was admitted to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital. Her condition is stated to be stable.
