Husband Detained After Woman Found Hanging In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Mystery continues to shroud the death of a married woman, who was found hanging in an apartment in Patia area under Infocity police limits in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Tapaswini Mishra.

While the body has been sent for postmortem, police have detained her husband, Biswa Sampad, for questioning on the basis of a complaint filed by her family members. They have alleged that it was a pre-planned murder and blamed him for the tragedy.

Family sources said Tapaswini was a state government employee with Biswa employed as an engineer with a local IT company. They shared a tense relationship and could have been killed by her husband.

Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to her death.
