Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police arrested a man for cultivating cannabis (ganja) on the terrace of his apartment.
Carrying out a raid after getting information, police seized 10 ganja plants.
The man, identified as Sai Revanth Verma, was found to be cultivating ganja in an area of 200 yards on the terrace of his house.
Revanth told police during questioning that he had brought the cannabis seeds from Andhra Pradesh and his intention of growing the plants was for personal consumption.
Police destroyed the recovered ganja plants. Cannabis seeds were also found in his possession and seized.
Revanth, charged under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, has been sent to judicial custody.
