Chennai: With the Central government easing restrictions in several sectors gradually, in a bid to restart economic operations amid the Covid-19 pandemic, a number of companies have started activities.
One of them is Hyundai Motor India, which has resumed operations at its Irungattukottai plant in Tamil Nadu. And on the very first day, the factory rolled out 200 cars on Friday.
According to a statement from the company, 100% social distancing is being followed within and around the factory, as per government guidelines. The state government allowed Hyundai to reopen the plant with 50% staff.
