Bhubaneswar: A community hall for women from weaker sections of society was inaugurated at Balipatna in Khurda district on the occasion of Independence Day on Sunday.
Named Kanchan Devi Hall, Bhubaneswar-based Parichay Foundation in collaboration with WEDO (a New York-based organisation) built the community hall for the overall wellbeing of local women.
The hall will help house activities pertaining to counseling as well as awareness about health programmes among adolescent girls and women. Different types of skilled training programmes will also be provided, said Parichay Foundation founder president Rosalin Patasani Mishra.
