‘I Didn’t Do Anything Wrong’: Nikita Rawal Breaks Silence On Viral Fan-Kiss Video

Mumbai: Nikita Rawal has responded to the controversy surrounding a viral video in which a female fan is seen kissing her on the lips during a red-carpet interaction.

The actor maintained that she had “done nothing wrong” as the incident sparked discussions online about consent and personal boundaries.

The incident, which took place on August 8, also led some social media users to speculate whether the interaction was staged.

On August 12, Nikita addressed the reactions through her Instagram Stories, sharing screenshots of messages from people who had expressed their support after watching the video.

She wrote, “Thank you so much for all the love and support. I truly appreciate it. And you know I’m right, I haven’t done anything wrong. I have nothing to hide, and I will always stand by the truth.”

Nikita has not disclosed the identity of the woman in the video or made any further allegations regarding the incident.

In the viral clip, Nikita is seen posing for cameras at a red-carpet event when a woman approaches her.

After kissing the actress on the cheek, the woman pulls her closer and kisses her on the lips.

Nikita appears surprised and tries to move away, but the woman holds on to her briefly before kissing her cheek again and walking away.

The footage has since circulated widely on social media, with users focusing on Nikita’s reaction to the unexpected interaction.

While some users speculated that the interaction may have been staged, others criticised the fan’s actions and described the incident as inappropriate.

Many also pointed out that the gender of the person involved should not change how an unwanted physical interaction is viewed.

The discussion has largely centred on consent, with users stressing that approaching or interacting with a celebrity does not automatically imply consent to physical contact.

Nikita recently made headlines for her comments about Ranbir Kapoor’s casting as Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’.

Speaking to Bollywood Mascot, the actress questioned the casting choice and referred to Ranbir’s past comment about eating beef, saying it could hurt the sentiments of some Hindus.

She also urged the actor to apologise for the remark and mentioned the boycott campaign surrounding him.

“This character is not for Ranbir Kapoor at all. Such a disgusting and characterless person, who eats beef and has said this publicly. What do you think that such a person will be able to understand the character of Rama?” she said.

On the professional front, Nikita Rawal has worked across Hindi and South Indian cinema.

Her filmography includes Black & White, Mr Hot Mr Kool, The Hero – Abhimanyu, Ammaa Ki Boli and Cute Kameena. She also appeared in Garam Masala, starring Akshay Kumar and John Abraham.

She will next be seen in ‘Roti Kapda and Romance’, which also features Arshad Warsi and Chunky Pandey.
