Bhubaneswar: Bollywood composer is clearly smitten with Odisha and says he would like to come here again and again. He said he owes his second innings in music to Puri’s Jagannath Temple.
On a visit to Odisha recently, he also told a local channel how a transformation came about in him when he visited Odisha’s Lingaraj Temple. “I felt something when the bhajans were on,” he said.
So, what are the other things that the composer likes about Odisha?
Dalma is his favourite. In fact, he got it cooked on special request when he came to the state.
According to Anu Malik, he likes the close-knit family life of the Odia people and the special bond that family members share and how the warmth also extends towards friends. “It’s a very happy culture. Full of fun and friendship,” he said.
Besides, the people of Odisha are very artistic and can make fabulous artefacts and handicrafts. He said there’s a lot of talent in the state among singers, composers and artists.
