Mumbai: As wishes poured in from across the globe for Amitabh Bachchan to wish the ‘Bollywood Shahenshah’ on his 83rd birthday, his ‘Khuda Gawah’ co-star Shilpa Shirodkar revealed a secret wish.
Shilpa took to her Instagram handle on Saturday and posted a couple of pictures from the sets of the 1992 blockbuster ‘Khuda Gawah’. In one of the pictures, Shilpa is seen giving Amitabh a warm hug, and in the other photo, she is seen wearing a police uniform with Big B standing behind her.
The ‘Bigg Boss 18’ fame actress revealed that there was a time when she secretly wanted to marry Amitabh.
“To the man I secretly wanted to marry when I was a fan, and the man who taught me so much as a co-star! Wishing a fantastic birthday to Amit ji! May you continue to light up our screens for many more years, Amitabh Bachchan,” Shilpa wrote.
Soon, the comments section of her post was flooded with messages.
One fan wrote, “Happy Birthday, Legend.”
Another commented, “My two most favourite people are Shilpa mam and Amitabh Bachchan.”
One person shared, “The reception and the love this movie got during its shooting in Afghanistan is something to talk about for decades to come.”
Directed by Mukul S. Anand, ‘Khuda Gawah’ also starred Sridevi, Nagarjuna, Danny Denzongpa, and Kiran Kumar in pivotal roles.
Shilpa will next be seen in the much-talked-about supernatural drama ‘Jatadhara’, which also features Sonakshi Sinha and Sudheer Babu.
