New Delhi: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi recently reacted to the arrest of Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan by the NCB on October 3. The agency raided a cruise in Mumbai and busted a drug party. The star kid was arrested along with seven others.
On Sunday, he spoke about the controversy without taking any names. He said that he will speak for those ‘voiceless Muslims’ who are lodged in jails and not for those whose fathers are ‘powerful’.
Asaduddin Owaisi was asked about Aryan’s arrest while he was addressing a rally in Ghaziabad. He said, “You are talking about a superstar’s son. At least 27 percent of undertrial prisoners in UP jails are Muslims. Who will speak for them? I will fight for those who are voiceless and weak, not for those whose fathers are powerful.”
Meanwhile, the Mumbai sessions court reserved Aryan’s bail order for October 20. Reports suggest that the jail authorities have increased Aryan’s security. It is being said that he has been moved to a special barrack and is being monitored by the officials. He is facing difficulties adapting to the jail conditions and the prison food that has left the authorities worried about his health and hygiene.
After his bail order was reserved, SRK and Gauri sent him a money order of Rs. 4500 for his expenses in jail as home-cooked food is not allowed to be taken. He also spoke to his parents through video call as the family cannot go and meet due to the Covid-19 situation.
