Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has promoted senior IAS officer Chithra Arumugam to the Apex Grade (Level-17 of the Pay Matrix) and appointed her as Additional Chief Secretary.
According to the notification issued by the General Administration Department on November 25, the 1995-batch officer will continue in her current assignment until further orders. “On promotion to the Apex Grade, Chithra Arumugam, IAS, is appointed to the rank of Additional Chief Secretary and is allowed to continue in situ until further orders,” the notification read.
In November 2024, Arumugam was transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Labour and ESI. She also held the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Science and Technology.
