Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Wednesday effected a bureaucratic reshuffle in the state.
Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee, who recently returned from central deputation, has been appointed Principal Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Department. He will also remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary, Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department.
The additional appointment of Sanjeev Chopra as Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Department will stand terminated from the date Padhee takes over, the official notification said.
Bishnupada Sethi, who is currently serving as Principal Secretary, School & Mass Education Department, with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Commerce & Transport Department, has been appointed Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department.
He will continue as Principal Secretary, Commerce & Transport Department.
The additional appointment of Saswata Mishra as Principal Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department, will stand terminated from the date Sethi takes over.
Having returned from Central Deputation, Aswathy S would replace Sethi as Commissioner-cum-Secretary, School and Mass Education Department.
Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Information & Public Relation Department, with additional charge of Vice-Chairman, Bhubaneswar Development Authority and MD, Bhubaneswar Smart City Ltd, has been appointed as Principal Secretary, Rural Development Department. He will remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary, Information & Public Relation Department, Vice-Chairman, Bhubaneswar Development Authority and MD, Bhubaneswar Smart City Ltd.
The additional appointment of Pradeep Kumar Jena as Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Rural Development Department will stand terminated from the date Singh takes over.
