Bhubaneswar: With two senior IAS officers retiring this month, the Odisha government on Saturday effected a minor bureaucratic reshuffle by appointing DK Singh as Principal Secretary, Home Department, in addition to his current responsibilities as Principal Secretary, Steel & Mines Department; Chairman, OMC; Chairman, OMECL and Chairman, IDCOL, Bhubaneswar.
Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Jena, who is also serving as DC-cum-ACS and Secretary, Planning & Convergence Department and Managing Director, Odisha State Disaster Management Authority, has been given additional charge of Agriculture Production Commissioner.
He will replace Sanjeev Chopra, who will be leaving on central deputation on October 31, an official release issued by General Administration & Public Grievance Department said.
Chopra, a 1990-batch IAS officer, will be taking charge as Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution, on November 1.
Satyabrata Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, will take additional
charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department on the superannuation of Madhu Sudan Padhi on October 31.
Similarly, Saswat Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Governor with additional charge of Chairman, OSSSC, has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Department.
“The additional appointment of Satyabrata Sahu as Additional Chief Secretary, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Department shall stand terminated from the date Saswata Mishra takes over,” it said.

Language Training Institute has been allowed to remain in additional charge of Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, ST & SC Development, M&BCW Department.
“The additional appointment of Saswata Mishra, Principal Secretary, ST & SC Development, M&BCW Department, shall stand terminated from the date Roopa Roshan Sahoo takes over.”
The release further said that Raj Kumar Sharma has been appointed as Member, Board of Revenue, Cuttack, on superannuation of GVV Sarma on October 31.
He will remain in additional charge of Director General, Training Co-ordination, Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, Bhubaneswar, it added.
