IAS Reshuffle In Odisha: Sudhansu Samal Appointed OMC MD, Yamini Sarangi As Commercial Taxes & GST Commissioner

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has transferred Special Secretary, Planning and Convergence, Chitra Arumugam and posted her as Principal Secretary, Labour and ESI.

She will also hold additional charge of Principal Secretary, Science and Technology.

The reshuffle in the IAS cadre also saw Project Director Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan Yamini Sarangi being appointed as Commissioner, Commercial Taxes and GST. She will continue to hold additional charge of Special Secretary Finance.

Additional Secretary, Finance, Smita Rout will replace her as Project Director of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan, according to the notification issued by General Administration department on Saturday.

Yamini Sarangi, a 2008-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Commissioner, Commercial Taxes and GST in Odisha. She has also been allowed to remain in additional charge of Special Secretary, Finance.

Similarly, Additional Secretary, Water Resources, Sudhansu Mohan Samal has been posted as managing director of Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC).

Tourism Secretary Balwant Singh was in additional charge of OMC.

Director, Scheduled Tribes (ST), Indramani Tripathy will replace Vijay Amruta Kulange as Labour Commissioner while continuing to hold additional charge as Additional Secretary, ST&SC Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare department.

Managing Director of Odisha State Medical Corporation Poma Tudu along with additional charge of Commissioner, Food Safety, and MD, TDCCOL, has been given additional charge of ST Director.

Similarly, Trilochan Majhi, a 2012-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Additional Secretary to Home Department. He was earlier serving as Additional Secretary to Revenue and Disaster Management Department.

Director, Sports, Siddhartha Das has been transferred and posted as Registrar, Cooperative Societies in Odisha.

Deepankar Mohapatra will replace him as Director, Sports. He has also been allowed to remain in additional charge of CEO, Hockey Promotion Council, Odisha.

ORERA Secretary Bijay Kumar Prusty has been transferred and posted as Director of Estates and Ex-officio Additional Secretary to General Administration and Public Grievance Department.

Additional Secretary to Finance Department Satyabrata Rout has been appointed as Additional Secretary to Works department.

Monica Priyadarshini, a 2014-batch IAS officer, who is now on inter-cadre deputation to Odisha, has been appointed as the Mission Director, Odisha Livelihoods Mission, the notification added.
