Malkangiri: Vigilance sleuths on Friday arrested an ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services) official while taking a bribe of Rs 4,500.
The accused has been identified as Gitanjali Swain, the ICDS supervisor in Malkangiri district
According to Vigilance sources, Swain had allegedly demanded Rs 4,500 from one Gayatri Naik of Kandikiguda village and three other Anganwadi workers for passing a bill for serving cooked meals at their centre and purchase of uniforms.
Following a complaint by Gayatri, the anti-corruption sleuths laid a trap and caught the supervisor red-handed while she was accepting the bribe.
