Bhubaneswar: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) will conduct a serological survey in all districts of Odisha in a phased manner to determine the prevalence of antibodies against COVID-19 among the people.
Director, Health Services, Bijay Mohapatra said the positive cases and test positivity rate (TPR) in the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, Puri town and Jagatsinghpur districts have still remained high despite the three-month-long statewide lockdown.
The ICMR will conduct the serosurvey in these three cities and Jagatsinghpur district on priority and subsequently in the remaining districts in a phased manner, he said.
“A high-level meeting presided over by the Additional Chief Secretary, Health Pradipta Mohapatra, will soon decide the mode of serosurvey,” he added.
