Puri: The intensive care unit (ICU) of the district headquarters hospital in Odisha’s Puri was sealed on Saturday after a patient tested positive for COVID-19.
The district administration took the decision after the swab test of a critical patient admitted to the ICU of the hospital returned positive result on Friday.
Following the incident, the administration has asked the doctors and the staffers of the ICU to stay in home quarantine for 14 days.
Meanwhile, the infected patient has been shifted to the COVID hospital while steps are being taken to shift the remaining patients at the ICU to other hospitals, the administration said.
