Bhubaneswar: The final semester examinations of the under-graduate (UG), post-graduate (PG), diploma and certificate courses of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) began in 33 centres across Odisha on Thursday.
According to a release by the IGNOU Regional Centre, Bhubaneswar, around 13,000 candidates are appearing for the exams in 30 centres and three jails with strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines.
The exams will be held in two sessions from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm and will conclude on October 16.
The release informed that any student, who is not able to appear in the Term-End Examination (TEE) for COVID-19-related reasons or any other reason, will be permitted to appear in December. The examination fee submitted by the student towards June will be adjusted for December.
The final semester examinations scheduled in June could not be held due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
