Bhubaneswar: The two-day Eastern Region Conference ‘Kshitij’ of Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Odisha chapter, concluded at Hotel Mayfair Convention Centre here on Sunday.
The valedictory session was hosted by Odisha’s minister of Housing & Urban Development Usha Devi, in the presence of IIA president CR Raju, chairperson of Odisha chapter Ar. Rajkunwar Nayak and chairpersons from Bihar, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand chapter.
The minister said the conference’s theme ‘The Rising Architectural Horizon’ helped in a thorough understanding of best practices of the past, present-day challenges and innovative ideas in the field of architecture.
Ar. Jose Luis, president of the Union of International Architects, said that such events provide a great platform for the architectural fraternity to meet with new ideas and dimensions.
