Rourkela: A police official sustained injuries in an arrow attack in Rourkela on Tuesday.
The injured cop has been identified as Suresh Chandra Pradhan, the IIC of Mahulapada police station, sources said.
Pradhan received an information about a youth who climbed the Badajala high school building and created chaos.
The IIC led a team of cops and rushed to the spot. While trying to calm him down, the youth attacked the IIC with an arrow, sources added.
The attacker fled from the spot after the incident while Pradhan was rushed to the nearest hospital.
He sustained critical injury on his hand and is undergoing treatment.
