Sambalpur: The IIM-Sambalpur has become the first management institute in the country to introduce an online Global Executive MBA programme.
Launching the innovating programme at a function here on Friday, director of IIM-Sambalpur Mahadeo Jaiswal said those already in jobs for three years after completing MBA are eligible for this two-year online programme. They can pursue the programme either at their workplace or from home. The total cost of the two-year programme will be Rs 9 lakh.
“As most of the works in the country are currently done in the digital mode amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision taken by the IIM-Sambalpur to introduce this online programme is certainly a way forward in that direction. This institute promises to take up more innovative steps in the coming days,” Jaiswal said.
Stating that the construction of the permanent campus of the institute is going on a war-footing at Basantpur near Gosala, on the outskirts of the city, he said that the regular class on the new campus will begin from the next academic session.
The institute is now functioning inside the Jyoti Vihar campus of Sambalpur University.
