Bhubaneswar: IISER, Berhampur, has been accorded necessary approval by AIIMS-Bhubaneswar for conducting COVID-19 testing, the Health and Family Welfare Department tweeted on Sunday.
On the other hand, Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Balangir will commence COVID-19 testing from May 18.
On May 12, IMS & SUM, SOA deemed to be University, in Bhubaneswar, became the first private medical college in the state to get the approval from the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) for COVID-19 testing.
Currently, COVID-19 tests are being conducted at RMRC, AIIMS and Institute of Life Sciences in Bhubaneswar, SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack and MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur, VIMSAR, Burla, and Ispat General Hospital (IGH), Rourkela.
