IIT Madras, AIIMS Delhi Among Top Institutions In NIRF India 2020 Rankings

New Delhi: The Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) on Thursday.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has bagged the first position followed by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru and IIT Delhi at second and third place respectively.

Among the colleges, Miranda House (Delhi University) has secured the first position, followed by Lady Shri Ram (LSR) and the Hindu College at the second and third positions respectively.

The Education Minister along with Minister of State Sanjay Dhotre, Chairman of All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) Anil Saharsrabudhe and University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman DP Singh revealed the list through a webcast on his Twitter account.

The All India Institute Of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi has been named the most prominent medical sciences institute in the nation, while Jamia Hamdard came out as the topmost pharmacy institution.

National Law School of India University, Bengaluru has topped the list for ‘Law’ colleges, National Law University (NLU) Delhi the second, and NLU Hyderabad bagged the third rank. Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad is now a top management institute.
