Dhenkanal: Parjang Pollice near here seized an illegal gun-making factory from a residential area in Bhutubhutia Sahi in Bam village of the district and arrested one person in this connection on Thursday.
The accused, identified as Mangulu Maharana, was running the gun unit.
Acting on a tip-off, Parjang Pollice with the help of Mahabirod Outpost Incharge raided Mangulu’s residence and busted the gun factory.
Maharana was allegedly supplying hand-made pistols to several criminals and anti-social elements across the state.
Several country-made pistols and raw material stored in the unit were seized, the police sources said.
