Rourkela: Excise officials on Sunday busted an illegal liquor manufacturing unit in Rourkela.
Acting on a tip-off, Rourkela unit officials of the Excise department conducted a raid on a place in the city on the day. During the raid, the Excise sleuths seized 27 litre of adulterated IMFL, 2.5 litre of Caramel, 10,796 pieces of EAL, 3,460 corks and 515 pieces of empty bottles.
Two persons including a woman were arrested in connection with the illegal trade and a motorcycle was also seized from their possession. Earlier, sale of spurious liquor in IMFL bottles was reported from the Steel City.
