Nayagarh: Excise sleuths on Thursday arrested six persons and seized huge quantity of illicit liquor in Nayagarh district.
Those arrested were identified as Rabi Sahu, Bidyadhar Biswal, Arakshit Nath, Saria Nayak, Ramesh Bhatt and Bhagawan Swain. They were later forwarded to court.
These people were arrested following simultaneous raids at different places in the district and the officials recovered 23 litres of Indian, 27 litres of foreign and 5.22 litres of poisonous liquor, excise sources said.
