Muzaffarnagar: An Imam was castrated and beaten to death by his wife in a village near UP’s Muzaffarnagar.
The incident took place in Shikarpur village on Thursday evening.
According to police, the Imam’s first wife Hazra opposed the Imam’s plan to get married again, reported Times Now.
She told police that an argument with her husband Maulvi Vakil Ahmad, Imam at a mosque in Bhora Khurd village, over his proposed second marriage turned violent. She attacked the Imam and castrated him, leading to his death.
A case has been registered against the woman, informed Bhorakla police station officer Nitendra Singh. The victim’s body has been sent for post-mortem.
