Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here on Tuesday extended the rain forecast over Odisha for three days, February 25, 26 & 27. It has also issued an yellow warning for February 26. The IMD on Monday forecast rain in the state on February 26 & 27.
The highest maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius was recorded at Sonepur and the lowest minimum temperature of 10.8 degrees Celsius was recorded at Phulbani in the last 24 hours.
Most districts in Odisha have started recording maximum temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius, heralding the onset of summer.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at one or two places over Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts. Dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
Feb 25 (8.30 am) to Feb 26 (8.30 am)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of north Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of south Odisha.
Yellow warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore districts.
Feb 26 (8.30 am) to Feb 27 (8.30 am)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal and Kandhamal. Dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
There will be no large change in minimum temperature during the next 3-4 days over Odisha.
