Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a nowcast warning for Odisha’s 13 districts.
The IMD forecast that light to moderate rain/thundershower is likely with one or two intense/heavy spells in some parts of Puri, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Ganjam, Nuapada, Bargarh, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Angul, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Gajapati districts during next 3 hours from 7.50 pm on Friday.
The MeT office has warned about waterlogging in low-lying areas, occasionally poor visibility and traffic disruption in urban areas. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and avoid movement in affected areas. They should also make arrangement for drainage of excess water, it added.
