Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm with lightning and intense rain is likely in parts of Odisha’s 11 districts on Tuesday night.
Issuing a yellow warning in a nowcast bulletin at 8.30 pm, the regional centre of India Meteorological Department in Bhubaneswar said moderate thunderstorm with lightning and one or two spells of intense rain are very likely to affect some parts of Nuapada, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, and Kandhamal in next 3 hours.
The IMD has also released the images of Doppler weather radar at Gopalpur in Ganjam district showing cloud mass over parts of western Odisha.
The weather forecaster has advised the people to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places.
