IMD Forecasts Moderate Rain With Lightning In Bhubaneswar & Puri In 3 Hrs

Bhubaneswar: Moderate rain with lightning is likely in Bhubaneswar and Puri in next 3 hours.

A nowcast warning, issued by the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at Bhubaneswar at 6.50 pm, stated that moderate rain/thundershower with lightning and one or two intense spell of rain is likely to affect Khurda including Bhubaneswar city and Puri in next three hours.

Waterlogging in low lying area, occasionally poor visibility and traffic disruption in urban area are likely due to the rain. The IMD has advised the people to avoid movement in these areas and make arrangement for drainage of excess water.
