Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued a nowcast warning for 21 Odisha districts till 3.30 pm.
As per the IMD forecast, light to moderate rain/thunderstorm with lightning is likely in some parts of Khurda (including Bhubaneswar city), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal, Malakangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, and Rayagada during the next three hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
