Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow warning for 16 districts which will witness rain and thunderstorm for next 5 days.
In its evening bulletin, the IMD said lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely at one or two places in Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Khurda, Nayagarh and Ganjam districts in next 24 hours.
It has stated that the cyclonic circulation over over Bihar and adjoining Jharkhand extending upto 0.9 km above mean sea level persists.
There will be no major change in day temperature across the state.
For Bhubaneswar, the Met office forecast partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorm in next 24 hours. The city registered maximum temperature of 35.2 degree Celsius and minimum 23.5 degree during the day.
