Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorm activities in several parts of Odisha for next four days.
The IMD, in its evening bulletin, issued a yellow warning for 11 districts which are likely to experience thunderstorm with lightning in next 24 hours. Those districts are Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh. Following are forecasts for next three days:
Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 27.05.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 28.05.2022)
Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Nuapada, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur.
Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 28.05.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 29.05.2022)
Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of south interior Odisha, Gajapati, Ganjam, Bargarh, Nayagarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore.
Day-4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 29.05.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 30.05.2022)
Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal,Angul, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Kalahandi and Nuapada.
The Met office said maximum temperature observed marked rise at one or two places in several districts, appreciable rise at a few places in coastal Odisha, at one or two places in interior Odisha and appreciable fall at one or two places in interior Odisha.
