Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued a fresh warning for thunderstorm and gusty wind speed in some parts of 20 districts in Odisha, including the state capital.
According to a release by Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, there will be light to moderate thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain in some parts of Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Nuapada, Puri, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Nayagarh, Balangir, Kalahandi, Ganjam, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal, Gajapati and Cuttack within next three hours — between 6 pm and 9 pm.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves rom lightning strike.
