Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty wind is likely to lash at least nine districts of Odisha on Saturday afternoon, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
In a message issued at 1.20 pm, the IMD sounded a yellow warning for Angul, Balangir, Balasore, Bhadrak, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh districts.
Moderate rain, thunderstorm and lightning with surface wind 30-40kmph may occur at a few places of these districts in next three hours, it said.
