IMD Issues Yellow Warning For Thunderstorm, Lightning Over These Odisha Districts

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD)’s regional centre here has issued yellow warning for thunderstorm and lightning over several Odisha districts on July 28, 29 and 30.

July 28 (Till 8.30 am)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.

July 28 (8.30 am) to July 29 (8.30 am)

Yellow warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Bolangir, Boudh, Kalahandi and Kandhamal.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of north interior Odisha and at a few places over the rest districts of Odisha.

July 29 (8.30 am) to July 30 (8.30 am)

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Cuttack, Nayagarh.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha.

July 30 (8.30 am) to July 31 (8.30 am)

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Koraput.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of north interior Odisha and at a few places over the rest districts of Odisha.

July 31 (8.30 am) to August 1 (8.30 am)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Balasore, and at a few places over the rest districts of Odisha.
