New Delhi: The Twitter handle of India Meteorological Department (IMD) was hacked on Saturday evening.
After getting into the account, the hacker posted and pinned a tweet regarding an NFT trading event. The tweet posted in a thread tagged several thousand accounts.
“The Twitter handle has been hacked and we are trying to restore it,” IMD Director-General Mrutyunjay Mohapatra said.
The official Twitter account of the India’s met department has been attracting heavy traffic in the past few weeks because of the intense heatwave in parts of India.
