Impeachment Proceeding Against CJI Dipak Misra Gathers Momentum

New Delhi: The impeachment proceedings against the Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra has picked up momentum as the Congress have started to collect signatures of MPs from various political parties, NCP leaders informed.

Though the Congress remains tight-lipped about the issue, NCP leaders have confirmed signing the notice.

“A lot of opposition parties have signed the draft proposal for moving an impeachment motion against CJI Dipak Misra. Many parties like Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Left parties and I think TMC and Congress have also signed it,” NCP General Secretary D.P. Tripathi was quoted by ANI.

As per information, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also met with senior lawyer Prashant Bhushan on Tuesday, to discuss the matter.
