Odisha U-17 girls football team netted an unbelievable 36 goals in 90 minutes against Himachal Pradesh in the league round match. Banya Kabiraj, Jyoti Kumari & Dipa Naik scored 6 goals each as the team defeated Himachal Pradesh 36-0.
Odia sprinter Pragyan Sahu won silver medal in the U 21 girls 100 hurdles, clocking 14.34 seconds.
Odisha’s ace swimmer Pratyasa Roy bagged bronze medal in girls 100mt Backstroke event with 1:10.61 seconds.
The 12-day extravaganza for over 6,000 Under-17 and Under-21 athletes kicked off on Wednesday. Eighteen disciplines are being contested including athletics, badminton, boxing, hockey and football.
