Bhubaneswar: The state level conference of district education officers (DEOs) and secretaries of Junior Red Cross (JRC), Indian Red Cross Society-Odisha State Branch (IRCS-OSB) was organised at Red Cross Bhavan here on Friday.
Gracing the inaugural session as chief guest, school and mass education minister and state working committee chairman of Junior Red Cross Badri Narayan Patra advised the DEOs and secretaries to enhance enrolment of JRC volunteers and counselors in schools and involve them in various JRC activities.
JRC secretary Dr Gyanabrata Mohanty welcomed the guests and participants. He made a PPT presentation on JRC activities during 2016-17. Thereafter, he took over the business session of the conference. He asked the DEOs to remit the JRC annual registration fee and state share of their respective districts in time so as to enable the state Junior Red Cross to faster implement the planned activities in future endeavour.
