Bhubaneswar: The officials of different districts on Wednesday met the the families of students, studying in war-ravaged Ukraine, in the latter’s houses.
The officials spoke to the families worried about the safety of their children and assured them of the state government’s efforts towards safe return of the students to their homes. Here are brief reports and pictures of the visits of some district officials:
District Magistrate, Cuttack met the family of Sambeet Sahoo, son of Dilip Kumar Sahoo and Nirupama Sahoo. The boy is now lodged in a safe house in Kharkiv National Medical University campus in Ukraine. The DM also spoke to the boy over phone and assured them all cooperation of the government.
Mohapatra Kuldeep Mohanty, additional tehsildar, Boudh met Gitanjali Pattanaik and Prashant Kumar Mohapatra, the parents of Sidhart Rahul Mohapatra, 4th year student of Kyiv National Medical University. Sidhart has reached Hungary-Ukraine boarder as per latest update.
Tehsildar Sonepur in Subarnapur visited the house of Ashis kumar Bishi whose mother said her son is travelling in train to reach his destination near Ukraine border from where arrangement has been made to being him back to India.
Tahsildar Sonepur, Subarnapur district visited house of Priyabrata Sahu . His father stated that his son will start journey by train tomorrow.
