Puri: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was greeted by Puri Gajapati Puri Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb as he arrived in Odisha’s pilgrim town of Puri for the inauguration of Srimandir Parikrama Prakalpa.
The three-day Maha Yajna, which started on Monday as a precursor to the grand event, will conclude with the Gajapati, offering the ‘Purna Ahuti’ and the CM dedicating the heritage corridor project to devotees. They will then lead a procession around the heritage corridor around 2 pm accompanied by dignitaries and cultural troupes.
Naveen will also release a number of documentary videos on the project and felicitate all involved in the execution of the parikrama plan around 2.30 pm, before leaving for Bhubaneswar.
People will be allowed to enter the parikrama after 3 pm.
Meanwhile, the pilgrim town oozed devotion and divinity as people participated in festivities, playing gongs, conchs and mardal, ahead of the grant event.
