Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the expansion of Odisha Bhawan at Vashi in Navi Mumbai.
The expansion plan includes a state-of-the-art accommodation facility and funds for the project have been approved by the state government. It will cater to the needs of people from Odisha, who visit Mumbai in large numbers for different works, particularly cancer treatment.
He is scheduled to return to Bhubaneswar this evening.
Notably, Naveen flew to the Financial Capital on Tuesday after a two-day visit to Hyderabad, where he attended the last investors’ meet ahead of the Make in Odisha conclave later this year. This was his second visit to Mumbai in almost a month.
