Puri: With sibling deities Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra set to start return to their abode Jagannath Temple during ‘Bahuda Yatra’ (return car festival), lakhs of devotees landed in Odisha’s Puri town on Saturday.
As part of the rituals, the Lords were brought in ‘Pahandi Bije’ (grand procession) by the servitors from Gundicha temple to their chariots. Even as the devotees jostled to have a glimpse of the spectacle of the elaborate procession, the police and security personnel ensured that it was completed with discipline.
