Bhubaneswar: Into its second week, .FEST continued to attract a record number of audiences with its unique mix of food, live music and cultural exhibitions.
Day 8 of the festival saw over 19,000 visitors attend the ‘Suhana Safar’ musical concert at IDCO Exhibition Ground, which saw live performances by legendary singers Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. People of Bhubaneshwar enjoyed the Sunday night full of legendary tracks like ‘Papa Kehte Hein’ and ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’ by the singer duo.
Local heartthrob Satyajeet Jena also made an impact with his soothing voice.
Bhubaneswar MLA North Susanta Rout and BMC Mayor Sulochana Das along with Minister Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Public Enterprises, Science and Technology Ashok Chandra Panda felicitated the singers on the stage.
The Day 9 of .FEST will see popular fusion tracks by singers like Siddharth Mahadevan, Shivam Mahadevan, Srinidhi Ghatate and Aseema Panda. The theme for the day will be ‘Fusion Fiesta’.
Belgium fries and cone ice creams were an attraction for visitors at the International Food Festival. The Flea Market with more than 120 stalls showcasing locally made goods, handicrafts and textiles of Odisha, is attracting people in hordes.
