In Pictures: Pahandi Ritual Of Lords Begins In Odisha’s Puri

Puri: Lord Jagannath and his siblings will embark on the annual sojourn on Monday. The Padhandi ritual of Triad began after the consecration of the chariots – Nandighosha for Lord Jagannatha and Madan Mohan, Debadalana Ratha for Devi Subhadra and Shri Chakraraj Sudarshan and Taladhwaja for Balabhadra Prabhu and Ramakrishna.

According to ‘Dhadi Pahandi’ tradition, Shri Chakraraj Sudarshan is taken to the chariot first, followed by Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra and Lord Jagannatha.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik sought the blessings of the Lords to overcome the COVID pandemic.
