Bhubaneswar: The idols of Goddess Durga were immersed in temporary ponds set up on the banks of Kuakhai river, Daya river and at Bankuala (1) in the Odisha capital on Tuesday.
It was a quiet affair amid the COVID-19 regulations. Four time slots – 10 am-12 pm, 12 pm-2 pm, 2 pm-4 pm and 4 pm-6 pm – were allotted to the puja committes for the immersion ceremony to prevent large gatherings.
